Born in The Gambia, Tiana moved to Anchorage, Alaska with her family at the age of 3. She left Alaska to study history and film at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
After completing her undergraduate degree Tiana left D.C. to attend NYU’s Tisch graduate film program in Singapore.
Presently, Tiana resides in Brooklyn, NY where she works as a writer, director, video installation-artist and educator. She currently works as a professor of digital storytelling at Lehman College, and is in post-production on her thesis film Sand Dunes, shot on location in Alaska.
